About Joseph
I’m Joseph LeMieux. I’m a coach currently in clinical practice while completing my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. I’ve spent the last fifteen years doing this work — first on myself, then with others.
What I bring to the work is a foundation in attachment theory, somatic experiencing, and depth psychology, integrated through a long contemplative practice in the Buddhist tradition. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Purdue. I’ve spent thousands of hours in meditation, retreat, and the daily practice of inner work.
But none of that matters as much as this: I do my own work. Continuously. The capacity I bring to other people’s becoming is built on the daily practice of meeting my own.
On working with men
I spent seven years on a men’s team. What I learned there didn’t come from a book or a training — it came from sitting in a room with men who were willing to be honest about what was actually happening inside them.
That kind of witnessing changed me. It’s why I do this work.
There is something particular about a man being truly seen by another man who has done his own work. It lands differently. The defenses that hold firm in other contexts sometimes just — release.
If you’re a man who has been doing inner work and wants to go deeper, I understand the specific territory you’re navigating. The pull between strength and vulnerability. The relationship patterns that keep repeating. The sense that something essential is still locked away.
I’ve been there. I know the way through.
